fashion inspiration: Elizabeth Taylor part two

Annnnd its part dos. Today we'll take a gander at several iconic looks from Taylor's later life. You know, the white diamonds years.
The fragrance dreams are made of? I thought that was victory. Oh well let us begin.

Prime example of Liz's decadent style in the second half of her life.

This dress by Ali Ro is a little more subtle, but the color story is still there. A great starting point...

Now we're looking busy.

Some pretty red heels will pull everything together and remind your man (or woman) friend know that you are indeed a sexy lady, not a magic eye poster.

White Queen:
Trench dress by Nina Ricci

This dress is amazing, albeit a bit over the top for those of us who aren't, well, Elizabeth Taylor. A pretty sequined bolero jazzes up a soft blue dress, and it's super cute with a white tank and jeans!

Marc by Marc Jacobs

ABS by Alan Schwartz

Dress by Robert Rodriguez. I have no idea what's up with the barbie arm. but the dress is cool. It needs some more blang tho...

Oh hell yeah, shoes by Diane von Furstenberg
More!
Why the hell not? Jacket by Balmain
Oh MJ. Ok kids that's all I've got today.
Happy Monday, y'all.

fashion inspiration: Elizabeth Taylor part one

Good Gawd this woman was gorgeous. I mean, unreal beautiful. And as she grew older and her looks began to fade, Taylor made up for it with amazing fashion statements that insured she was always the center of attention:

Love is what I am in with this woman. Anyway, in honor of her amazing life I would like to draw inspiration from a few of her iconic fashion moments. In part one of this two part installment, we'll cover young Liz. Part 2 will cover her more outrageous outfits from her later life! Yay!

NATIONAL VELVET:

Country girl chic:
D&G cross back gingham dress

CAT On A HOT TIN ROOF:

Hello underwear as outerwear!
Proenza Schouler slip dress

BUTTERFIELD 8:

YETI!!

Fendi-I believe there's a matching hat!

ummmmm CLEOPATRA!!!(my jewelry hero!!!)

This may seem like overkill, but if you know me you know my love of chunky ethnic jewelry, so this woman is basically my hero. Plus she was a total stud! Pun very much intended!

Bling Bling-hello? Sequined dress by Brian Lichtenberg

I love a great yellow dress, and this one from Victoria's Secret is the perfect foundation for all the insane jewelry I'm about to load on mah body.

fashion inspiration: Jackie Earl Haley

Although he's not exactly what you might call a "looker," Haley has embodied classic characters with zeal seldom seen in other actors. Let's take a look at some classic fashion moments in Mr Earle Haley's career and learn how we can bite his style, as many of his characters would probably like to bite us.
