Is there a more quintessential summertime beverage than lemonade? It is one of those things that always tastes better when you make it from scratch, especially when you jazz it up with some berries. This recipe works with strawberries too, if raspberries aren't your thing.
Raspberry Lemonade (adapted from
The Pioneer Woman)
Ingredients
2 half pints of raspberries
3 cups sugar, plus more if needed
2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (from 10 lemons)
Directions
In a blender or food processor, puree the berries with 1 cup of the sugar and 1 cup of water.
In a large container, mix together 11 cups water, the remaining 2 cups sugar, the lemon juice and the raspberry mixture. Stir and taste, adding more sugar if you like. Refrigerate until well chilled. For a more adult beverage, add some vodka.
