As I told you last Friday, I am a huge fan of using a fun leopard print shoe to sass up an otherwise ordinary outfit. Yesterday I teamed up with Mint Julep to make it happen. It was a beautiful, albeit windy day, so Forest Park seemed like a perfect spot for a quick photo shoot. It also made for a lovely walk with James and Lola.
As I mentioned, it was a very windy day, so please disregard the general state of my hair. I also decided to take a page from Miley's book, and went with a statement lip and sunglasses in loo of a full face of makeup. Low maintenance, holla! But back to the shoes. I like that the "Diane Sandal," seen here, is a d'orsay flat, giving me more wearability than a traditional sandal or ballet flat. The gold hardware and double ankle straps give them an edge that will pair nicely with your basics, but still look great dressed up. And with a $40.00 price tag, it's hardly a major wardrobe investment. But if you want to make it an even sweeter deal, sign up for their email list and receive a $10 coupon you can use towards your purchase!
I was glad that they went so well with my boyfriend jeans since they are the only pants I have that fit right now. Buuuut considering the fact that I had a baby two weeks ago, even fitting into my "big" pants is a cause for celebration. In addition to jeans, I think they would look super cute with a floral printed dress or a casual t-shirt dress for an easy day-to-evening look. Just throwing out a few ideas. I truly think leopard works best when treated as a neutral. But why don't you just give it a try and let me know what you think. I would love to see some photos in the comments!
In addition to the Mint Julep "Diana Sandal," I am wearing a Halogen tee, Harlow boyfriend jeans, House of Harlow 1960 pendant necklace and Nordstrom BP sunglasses.
