Scarab Beetle Mania

Ever since I was a little girl, I have had a fascination with scarab beetle jewelry. Growing up, I went through an Egyptology phase that never quite wore off. According to Wikipedia, "scarab beetle" refers to Scarabaeus sacer, the dung beetle species worshipped by the ancient Egyptians. Images of the scarab can be found in Egyptian hieroglyphics, pottery, and of course, jewelry.
