Blender Bloody Marys For A Crowd

I wouldn't necessarily call myself a Bloody Mary connoisseur, but this recipe is super delicious! The fresh tomatoes and celery amp up the healthy factor, while the horseradish, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce bring the flavor. In my pregnant state I was only able to enjoy the virgin version, but I know they would be even better with a generous splash of vodka.

Blender Bloody Marys
(makes about 8 servings)

Ingredients:

8 cups tomato juice, chilled
6 limes, juiced
2 1/2 cups chopped ripe tomatoes
5 tender inner stalks celery with leaves, chopped (plus extra for serving)
3 tablespoons minced shallot
1 ½ tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons prepared or fresh grated horseradish
1 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
1 1/4 teaspoon ground celery seed
1 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce, or to taste
Freshly ground black pepper
1 cup ice

Optional: 1 1/2 cups chilled Vodka (I prefer pepper or cucumber in a Bloody Mary.)

Directions:

Combine tomatoes, celery, shallot, horseradish, lime juice,Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, celery seed, hot sauce and ice in a blender and puree until completely smooth. Combine with tomato juice (and vodka if you are using) in a large pitcher. Serve immediately, garnished with a celery stalk if desired.
