Fashion Inspiration: Daenerys Targaryen of Game of Thrones

If you are a fan of the hit HBO series "Game of Thrones," then you need no introduction to our source of inspiration for today. If you are not, let me take a minute to fill you in. So Daenerys Targaryen, aka Daenerys Stormborn, is the long lost daughter of the horribly murdered mad king of Westeros, Aerys Targaryen. She married a super-hot warrior at 13,  but was widowed in an unfortunate chain of events that led to her walking into her husband's funeral pyre with a set of petrified dragon eggs and emerging naked, bald, and unhurt as the mother of dragons.

Now Dany, as she is called by her friends, is traipsing across the dessert with an army of eunuchs, freeing the enslaved masses, and burning the shit out of anyone that gets in her way with her trio of pissed off dragons. So basically she's just like us.

Fashion-wise, Dany has a bit of a boho vibe, she loves an embellished top and can't get enough of a great maxi dress. Her time with the Dothraki gave her a penchant for leather, and she's not afraid to experiment with cut outs. One thing's for certain, this girl is always on the move, so she needs shoes she can walk (or flee) in. Our look today is inspired by her fierce look and even fiercer attitude.
