WTF Wednesday
As we march headlong into winter here in the heartland, it's comforting to remember that in Los Angeles it's always warm. Which means outfits like this one (below) can happen year round. So put on your comfiest oversized sweaters, grab a cup of hot cocoa, and dig in to the weird wardrobe mishaps of the past week:

Fun Times in Nashville
As Samantha mentioned in her post last Friday, we were in Nashville over the weekend for our friend Carolyn's bachelorette party. This was only my second time visiting Nashville, and it was just as amazing the second time around. Here are a few highlights of my trip.
I'm not the biggest country music fan, so I was dubious about the live music scene in Nashville. But the Brazil Billy Band at Robert's Western World made me a believer. Definitely check them out!

WTF Wednesday
This week I am happy to say that everybody looked great and I had nobody to call out for their sartorial idiocy. Haha, just kidding, all kinds of bad things were happening in Lala Land this week. Let's dive in, shall we?

WTF Wednesday
You know the drill, it's Wednesday. Time to take out my frustrations on unwitting celebrities who dress poorly and have no idea I exist. This week there were several women who normally have admirable style on the list. Find out who after the jump!

WTF Wednesday
Well, it's Wednesday again. Humpday. I always find that I have the hardest time picking out an outfit on Wednesday. On Monday, I've had all weekend in my casual garb, and I am refreshed, looking at my work wardrobe with clear eyes. Tuesday, I just wear whatever my second choice for Monday happened to be. But by Wednesday, my pre-selected looks are tapped out and I'm not yet close enough to the weekend to care about a day-to-evening ensemble. Sad. Well, unfortunately I'm not here to give you Wednesday fashion inspiration, but I can give you a little insight as to what not to do. Read on to see which celebrities screwed the pooch on the red carpet this week:

WTF Wednesday
So, I was thinking about how much fun I have been having picking out best and worst dressed contenders from award ceremonies, and then the thought occurred to me: "hey, celebrities dress like poo on the reg, so why don't I just make it a weekly post?" Thus, WTF Wednesday was born. Every week I will gather images from celebrity parties and red carpets that make you wonder WTF they were thinking. At first I thought I might have a difficult time assembling such images. But for better or worse, unfortunate decisions are made on a daily basis, and I had plenty of fodder for my post.

Bombpop's Picks for Best and Worst Dressed at the VMAs
Well, the MTV Video Music Awards were last night, and let's just say there were some questionable choices making their way down the red carpet. The VMAs have always had a more relaxed attitude, giving artists some latitude when it comes to wardrobe decisions. This year was no different, making for a super fun red carpet experience, and giving Leah and I tons of options for both best and worst dressed of the evening.
Read on to see who did it right and who done gone crazy:

Fashion Inspiration: Tilda Swinton in Snowpiercer
Last night James and I watched Snowpiercer, a dystopian science fiction thriller directed by Joon-Ho Bong, the Korean Director known for "The Host." While I enjoyed the film for what it was, an over the top feast for the eyes with some semi-serious acting issues, my favorite part was definitely Tilda Swinton as the Minister of the Train. I mean, when is Tilda not the best part of any movie she's in, am I right?

How To Throw A Murder Mystery Party
As we've mentioned a few times here on BombPop, last weekend I hosted a murder mystery party for my birthday. It's something I've wanted to do for years, and it completely lived up to my expectations. Though throwing a murder mystery party takes a little bit of planning, it's entirely worth it! Especially when you have friends that like to dress up and aren't afraid to act a little silly.

My Top 10 Favorite Looks from Rupaul's Drag Race
My favorite television show, Rupaul's Drag Race, is scheduled to return to the airwaves next Monday, and I'm super pumped. For the uninitiated, the contestants on Drag Race compete to see who has the Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve and Talent to be America's Next Drag Superstar. It's like America's Next Top Model meets Project Runway, but much, much more entertaining than either of those shows have ever been. To celebrate the return of the show, I have compiled a list of my all-time favorite looks from Drag Race. Feast your eyes on this fabulousness:

BombPop Picks for Best and Worst Dressed at the Grammy's
So here we are again, judging the red carpet for the Grammy's. All I have to say is that most of these people need sartorial help, but hey it's the Grammy's, so perhaps it was a combination of drugs, and well, just not giving a shit that led to these choices. I totally get it, but the fact that I can empathize won't stop me from pointing out the obvious, which is that most of y'all look ridiculous. You hear me Pharell? I'm talking to you.

Fashion Field Trip: A Queen Within
I recently visited the World Chess Hall of Fame in the Central West End to see their current exhibition, “A Queen Within: Adorned Archetypes, Fashion and Chess." While the exhibit has been open since October of last year, I thought it merited a post on BombPop in case people had not heard about it or, like me, found time to check it out. The exhibit will be open through mid-April, but hurry! You do not want to miss the opportunity to see this amazing collection of avant-garde designs created by some of the biggest names in fashion and worn by the likes of Lady Gaga and BeyoncĂ©.
